Net Tutor


The TLTC is partnering with NetTutor, an independent service provider, to provide tutoring after hours. Find additional support outside of center hours in the following subjects:

  • Economics
  • Finance
  • Chemistry
  • General Humanities
  • Introduction to Philosophy
  • Pre-Calculus and Calculus
  • Basic and Advanced Math
  • Accounting
  • Statistics
  • Intro to Philosophy
  • General Humanities
  • Music Theory
  • Computer Science

Please note that Writing tutoring services are NOT provided through TLTC or TLTC's NetTutor access. Contact the Writing Center for writing tutoring services: . 

If you need additional course specific tutoring support, the TLTC has a variety of content tutoring services. Contact the TLTC to learn what other tutoring services are available. 

Along with 1:1 tutoring sessions, the TLTC provides group tutoring, SI sessions, and Study Hall for designated courses. Consider using BOTH center and NetTutor services.

Before you access NetTutor, please keep in mind the following:

  • Access is open 24 hours, but tutors are scheduled at various times.
  • Sessions are primarily chat based. 
  • Audio/Video can be requested when available.
  • Before you log on, have questions ready to type, post, and/or share.
  • Just like TLTC tutors, NetTutors help you with your learning process. Please understand that they will not check answers or complete assignments.
  • Please limit access to about an hour per day.
  • Please understand that any abuse of services or to staff may result in a suspension of access.

Access to NetTutor is through Blackboard

  1. Log into your course’s Blackboard account.
  2. Click on “Courses” and enter your course
  3. Look for “Tools” on the navigational panel on the left side of the screen.
  4. Find the NetTutor link under Blackboard Tools
  5. Click the NetTutor link
  6. Read and agree to the terms.
  7. Select the tutoring subject
